Rosewood flooring is a wonderful way to beautify and upgrade any room in your house. Hardwood floors, your garage or basement into an attractive extension of your home. You can add an extra bedroom, living area or play room just by changing the floor. With a little time and effort, you can prep your concrete slab floors and installing beautiful hardwood without hiring an expensive handyman or carpenter.
And then, use waterproof mastic to the concrete slab with a paint roller to spread. Make sure your work area is well ventilated. Then, let the mastic set before continuing. Lay pressure-treated 1-inch by 4-inch screeds down 16 inches apart over the rosewood flooring. Also screeds will be install to run the opposite of hardwood flooring. Using a powder-actuated gun provided with concrete nails to attach the screed plate to the concrete.
Then, lay polyethylene film down over the installed screeds; the film will have a 4-inch overlap to function properly. The film should cover the entire rosewood flooring with enough overlap to behind baseboards on all sides. This film is not required but is strongly recommended. Lay 1-inch by 4-inch screeds over previously installed screeds and nail with the wooden nails. Polyethylene will be sandwich between the two 1-inches by 4-inch screeds.
